Pastor Sheryl’s Story
From an early age, I was fascinated with learning, and my passion for the Bible developed during my formative years. In college, I lived alone for two years and would often spend entire days reading my Bible without even realizing how much time had passed. It was during this time that I truly began to understand the depth and power of God’s Word.
One of my greatest inspirations was my grandfather. He carried a joy that I knew was somehow connected to his unwavering faith, and I wanted that same joy. His zeal was connected to my great-grandfather who founded the church I grew up in, in Key West, FL. My childhood home was only about 30 steps from the church doors, and ministry has always been woven into the fabric of my life.
Over the years, I’ve served in various capacities in churches, ranging from small congregations of 50 members to leading groups in mega-churches with as many as 400+ people entrusted to my care. Despite having a natural gift for administration, my heart has always been to teach the Word of God in a way that is engaging, understandable, and applicable to everyday life.
I carry a fire in my belly for the transformative power of the Word. I believe that God’s Word can change lives, and that passion fuels my teaching. It is a privilege and an honor to be called to this work, and I thank God every day for the opportunity to share His Word and lead others to a deeper understanding of His love and purpose for them.
